[The attack on the Pro-heroes hadn't gone quite as planned, and now they're a person down and gone into hiding for the time being. The pro-heroes took quite a hit as well, but not as bad as shigaraki had been hoping for. He had wanted to attack again while the pro-heroes were down, but Dabi figured if they got out without any casualties this time, they should just call it a day until the next time they could plan better. he doesn't want to miss his chance again.
Dabi hates it, but there was no opportunity to hit Endeavor head on, even if they had wounded him and a several other pros. This is not the way he wanted any of it to go down, so now he has to wait patiently all over again.
He got out pretty cleanly this time, but the destruction they caused was massive, and as much as he actually wanted to go see Nemuri when she got out of the hospital, he didn't know if he should. Disappearing was a much better option, at least until he knew that all her shitty pro-hero friends had pulled through. He knows he shouldn't give a shit about that, but he ended up staying away anyway, just in case. It's not as if he feels bad or anything... he just doesn't want to see that disappointed look on her face.
By the time he does go to see her, he knows she's been out for a little while. He's not sure if she's back at work completely, or if she's still taking some time to recover, but he does watch her leave her building one night, so he knows she's out and about, whatever she's doing. He doesn't break in, he just waits at the side of the building, lurking in the shadows as he waits for her to get back.]
