but the things hawks says now, they get to him. he starts to wonder if maybe hawks is for real. maybe he actually does like him, even though he's unlikable. maybe his father was wrong.
all of that gets washed away by the sudden downpour of rain, though, and dabi lets out a shout, quickly crowding himself under hawks' wings without thinking about what he's doing. it doesn't do much, but it feels like it would be better than without the wings, but truthfully they should just be running for cover. ]
