[ Dabi's day is fairly uneventful, which is frustrating, since he absolutely thought that going out to find recruits would be on the more interesting side of the jobs they've had to do. But it isn't. One after another, everyone he comes across as a potential recruit is utterly useless. Thugs who have no idea how to use their Quirks properly, who don't share the same ideology as Stain, and who ultimately can't even fight back to protect themselves when Dabi burns them alive.
At least that part is interesting enough. At least he's weeding through the garbage.
It seems there's no shortage of villains who want to join, though, so maybe he'll have better luck tomorrow. He's exhausted by the time he makes it over to his guy to grab his jacket and the gloves for Shigaraki. They're beyond expectation and Dabi knows the other man will be pleased. No matter how much shit Dabi gives his boss, he still wants to please him at the end of the day.
