[Dabi? Cutting his hair? Well they've certainly crossed different lines this week. But... knowing Dabi's persistence with getting Shigaraki to try new things; Shigaraki is inclined to decline the offer.]

You'd do something I wouldn't like.

[Come here, he says when really he should have asked Shigaraki to stay still. The other man moves in, messing with the bruises. He's right though. He does like the bruises- they give him a different sensation to indulge in. One that doesn't scratch his skin raw.]

It still fucking hurts!

What's there to do? Your hair is pretty straightforward. Don't worry, I won't shave the underparts like those idiot kids these days.

[As if they're so much older. Dabi definitely feels older. He feels especially older than Shigaraki, the more the other man whines. He doesn't stop messing with them, even while Shigaraki protests. Instead he smirks against his skin, grabbing his chin and starts leaving kisses along the bruises instead. It's no big deal. They've kissed each other plenty of times.]

It's fine as it is. Any longer and I'll think about getting it cut.

[He likes it long. It gives him a veil to hide behind along with his hands. His hair also hides the scarring on his face. Especially the one underneath his eye and the one on the corner of his lip.

Shigaraki doesn't push the other away from the kisses. In fact? He relaxes into them. He doesn't even mind the other grabbing his chin for a little bit. Until he starts to mind and tries to crane his head away from the grasp. But not the kisses.]

Why is this so nice? [It's rhetoric because he was mumbling more to himself. But it's not a complaint either. Just... something he never thought would actually feel good?]

Don't worry, I won't stab you with the scissors, if that's what you're worried about.

[He knows Shigaraki isn't. They... have this sort of trust thing going on, he thinks. He wouldn't let anyone else ever touch him the way Shigaraki does, that's for damn sure. It's like the other man said to him not long ago- he doesn't have to worry, because he's always careful with his touch. And while Dabi is less careful, he knows Shigaraki probably needs a little forcefulness sometimes.

Which is why, even when Shigaraki tries to move out of his hold, Dabi tightens his hand for a moment, sucking on one of the bruises just a bit in retaliation before he lets go, dropping his hand to the other man's chest as he continues kissing.

Nice isn't a word Dabi is used to, much like soft seemed out of place for Shigaraki. He hums against pale skin, then kisses up to his ear.]

I'm never nice. You're losing your mind.

That's not what I meant, asshole.

[To both the hair-cutting and the nice comment. He does squirm with Dabi suck at one of the bruises, and nearly wriggles away from the trail of kisses to his ear.]

You're insufferable sometimes, you know that? [But he's not stopping Dabi. Not willingly anyways. His body still fights what is foreign to him.]

Still don't understand why you can touch but you're so against being touched.

Mm yeah. I know.

[Dabi says as though he's infinitely proud of how insufferable he is. It's like an art and really, would Shigaraki like it any different if he didn't have someone insufferable to keep him on his toes? He'd be so bored.

he doesn't let the other man move away from the kisses, curling his fingers into his shirt to keep him there as he continues them down his jaw. It really is nice, and maybe too sweet and intimate. But Dabi isn't really thinking about that right now. He tells himself he's just trying to shut Shigaraki up from all the whining about how much it hurts.

He does pause at the pseudo question, though. Shigaraki words it differently this time. He's asking in a different way-not as something he wants to gain from Dabi, but just sheer curiosity. Dabi tells himself not to trust it either way. This is how they are tonight, but it could be a different story tomorrow. They're both fickle and will use things against each other when needed.]

Why does it matter so much?

It doesn't. It's just peculiar.

[He's honestly just curious. It's interesting to him that Dabi's like this- capable of kissing him, touching him intimately. But if the tables get reversed- he's suddenly scared and backing out of it.]

Is it because you want to be in control of what's being touched?

[Shigaraki holds out his hand in front of him- he's not going to force Dabi to do anything because what they're doing now? Is nice. But it's there if Dabi wants it, he supposes.]

Peculiar.

[Dabi says as if that's the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard. He pulls back, looking at the other man. He's really trying not to get defensive, but it's not as if Shigaraki has some weird shit of his own going on.]

You mean peculiar like how you wear a dozen hands all over your body and call the one on your face 'Father'?

[Dabi eyes the hand in front of him. It's an offer, he knows it. Not anything to be forced on him. Still, he looks at it warily.]

Of course that's what I want.

[He backs off on the topic when the subject of his hands get brought up. But he doesn't pull his hand away either.]

It's late. I'm not going to force you to do something you don't want to. [That and despite the earlier discomfort he put Dabi through and the picture? Today was a good day.]

I'm just interested in you, Dabi.

[ Of course Shigaraki backs off. Dabi knows that's not something he particularly wants to talk about either. They both have their things. He does believe Shigaraki when he says he doesn't want to force him to do something he doesn't want to do, so he takes the other man's outstretched hand and slides it up along his neck. ]

Why are you interested in me?

[It seems as strange as soft and nice. Other than using him for his Quirk or his villainy, interested in him, in this capacity- it's never really come up. Though Dabi supposes that has to be what this is, the two of them carrying on like this since that fateful day when he barged into Shigaraki's room, telling him he was bored.]

[He lets the other move his hand and makes no moves of his own. He wasn't trying to trick Dabi. A part of him genuinely wanted to return the favor of touch.]

I don't know. I like what we have?

[That's the only reason why Dabi is letting Shigaraki touch him like this right now- so stupidly soft and whatever else he wants to do. It's because he can read the other man better by now and there's no malice in this, just genuine... feelings? Expressions? Dabi doesn't know what to call it. ]

And what is it do you think we have?

[He knows he's toeing another line here. Dangerous territory. Shit they should probably leave alone, but when have they ever? Neither of them are the type to back away from pushing any kind of boundaries.]

I don't know.

[Honestly he doesn't know what to call this. He's never had a friend before. But Dabi's more than a friend it seems... so what do they have together? Friends with benefits? They certainly benefit each other- in more ways than one.]

I've never been close to someone else like this.

[Even his Master had his share of distance.]

Whatever those words mean, they send a weird chill up his spine. This isn't what Dabi came here for. And yet, now that he has this, he doesn't really want to lose it either.]

We're just fucking around, creep. We're not close.

[This is what tumbles out of his mouth anyway, no matter what he's thinking, because he already has Shigaraki's hand on his neck, and they're already having sleep overs where Dabi is on Shigaraki's mattress instead of his own on the side. It's a lot to take in. It's a lot in general.

He's never been close to someone else like this either. Not in this way. Not in any way that hasn't been forceful and invasive.]

[He sounds amused. Shigaraki gives Dabi a gentle pat before pulling away his hand. He turns to lay down, staring up at the other man with curious red eyes. Seems like he really was just innocently curious about the whole touching thing. This time anyways.]

One day you'll agree. [Openly anyways.]

[ Shigaraki is such a fucking asshole. Only because he's completely right, and Dabi doesn't like it, because he's still trying to work this out in his head.

He's expecting more of a touch, but Shigaraki pulls back and lays down, leaving Dabi a little bit baffled, but not uncomfortable. This time anyways. And there's the catch. ]

I don't want to tell you anything because I know you'll use it against me. You say we're close now, but that's not how things are always going to be.

Let me rephrase then. We're close like this.

[He holds his hand out again after getting comfortable on the mattress.]

What we have here? Doesn't exist past our bedroom doors.

[It sounds cold but it's more of an acknowledgement that whatever this is, it's between them. No one else has to know about what's going on.]

[ Dabi snorts softly, rolling his eyes a little. Exactly. ]

And whatever I tell you behind bedroom doors? Doesn't mean you won't use it against me later... outside of these walls.

[Distrustful as ever. He doesn't have a reason not to be.

Shigaraki holds his hand out again and despite his words, Dabi only hesitates slightly before taking it, moving forward to get comfortable on the mattress he would have bitched about the other day. Too close, he would have said, but now he's laying down, Or, laying down enough where he's still on his elbows, propped up so he's towering over Shigaraki a bit.]

How can I trust that you won't tell anyone? That you won't take anything I give you and twist it around? That's all we've ever done, isn't it?

The same way I trust you won't share those photos. [A pause.] Or speak of what we've done to the others. I'm not looking for leverage to use against you- I don't need that kind of shit outside these walls.

[He really doesn't need blackmail on the other. Everyone's an equal here at the League and he's not about to keep people in line or get them to do his biding unwillingly with info.

Dabi is kind of warm to touch. He's noticed it before but he's only now appreciating it.]

Everything we do here remains here. That includes what we say unless it's a direct order or otherwise specified.

[ Dabi considers all of this, and... he finds that he really can't argue most of it. Even if they use what they have against each other, it's not in bad faith... and it hasn't really left this room.

They like to taunt each other, tease each other, but it's never led to anything bad. If everything they do here remains here, maybe he can be okay with it. Maybe he can agree that they might be close. ]

I guess I've never been close to anyone like this either. That's why I don't trust it.

And honestly, no one's really given a shit about what I've had to say before this either.

Well there's a first time for everything. [And then on a different topic:]

Right. So. Everything we do remains here. Including what we say.

[He just wants to clarify, because it seems unlike what they would do... or would have done, before they got close, apparently.]

Yes. [Otherwise what's stopping Dabi from telling the rest of the League that their boss is easily overtaken in bed? There really isn't much stopping either one from spilling everything beyond these walls. But they both liked what they had, right? So of course it takes two to keep a shared secret.]

Other side? Oh. You mean like the opposite of fire?

[Oh. Hmm. Suspicious considering his Master made him watch Todoroki's fight during the Sports Festival. Watch these two heroes fight, Tomura, they'll definitely be the next generation of heroes. One of them had fire and ice... sort of like Dabi's quirk. Minus the ice.]

Come closer, Dabi.

[ It does take the two of them to keep a secret, and Dabi is definitely not telling anyone any of this. It's his. Whatever they have, he likes that he's the only one who get to see it.

It's a hint that he's dropping against his better judgement. Shigaraki's smart and he knows how deep he's already been trying to dig when it comes to his past. Dabi might regret it later, but this conversation is filling his head, making him think that there might actually be some trust here. ]

Like the opposite of fire, yeah. Though you're usually cold enough.

[He barely even hesitates, moving closer to the other man, dropping down from his elbow to fully lay next to him.]

[The other man moves closer and Shigaraki can already feel the body heat warming him up. He'll keep thinking about this hint that Dabi dropped him, he's not aware exactly what "not having the other side" means. But he's got those eyes. He'd studied the Sports Festival fights extensively and. Well. They certainly matched the fire/ice boy. But he's not going to ruin this by pushing the other away with unwanted questions.]

Maybe that's why I wear all black? To keep my body heat? [Ha.] Tell me Dabi... do you like the heat or do you like the cold?
