[Eventualy, Shigaraki drifts asleep and doesn't wake up till late the next morning.

Weary red eyes open slowly, blinking away the haze of sleep as he forces himself awake. He turns to look over and see if Dabi's still with him, wondering if he should get up now to get ready.]

[ Of course Dabi is still with him, not having moved at all in the night. He's sleeping pretty damn peacefully, hands still outstretched and laying against Shigaraki's shoulder.

Late the next morning is still too early though. He'd rather just stay and sleep. ]

[retrievearms]

[He lays there watching Dabi sleep. He's content with taking a lazy morning and is in no hurry to get either of them up. Since Dabi's got his hand on his shoulder, and this is Dabi's room, Shigaraki can't even roll over to play some morning video games while he waits for Dabi to wake up.

Instead he just admires the other, taking in the details of Dabi's sleeping face. Like how many staples are in his face and the way his hair cascades over the pillow and his eyes. It's a soft moment for the League boss, to take in those details.]

[ Dabi sleeps for long enough that Shigaraki can take in every last detail if he wants to. And then he starts to stir awake, feeling eyes on him. But even half asleep he already knows whose eyes, because this is becoming such a regular thing now. It would be stranger to wake up without Shigaraki next to him.

He opes his eyes, flexing his fingers against Shigaraki's shoulder, then moves his hand to curl into the ends of his hair.]

Hey. You're staring at me.

[retrievearms]

Hmm? Where else would you have me look?

[What they have, waking up next to each other? Shigaraki likes it. It gives him an excuse to stay in bed just a little longer and clear his mind for the day. Having Dabi in bed also keeps him warmer at night. It's just a general good thing for Shigaraki all around.]

What were you dreaming about?

[creamation]

Mm. Nowhere else.

[Dabi yawns, rolling onto his back, but he keeps his eyes on Shigaraki and his hand in his hair. Dabi likes this too. Waking up next to Shigaraki makes things a little easier.]

I dreamt that we were swimming in a sea of blood that was actually ketchup and we had to climb onto these giant chicken nuggets to keep us afloat.

[retrievearms]

Ketchup is disgusting. I'd rather drown if that's how your dreams went.

[He turns onto his side since Dabi's finally up and considers sitting up. He enjoys Dabi's hand in his hair far too much though and so he remains laying down.]

You would rather drown in the ketchup that you hate instead of climbing on the chicken nugget and sailing to safety? That's not a very good plan.

[He snorts, starting to curl the hair around his fingers.]

So you hate ketchup too. Is there anything you actually like? Aside from chicken nuggets.

[retrievearms]

Foodwise? It depends. [He is a picky eater, maybe he'll show Dabi how he eats his chicken nuggets.]

I like video games and cartoons. [And you.] I like analyzing things and figuring out how they work.

[creamation]

Depends on how fast and simple it is?

[But hey, at least they're moving past food now? That's what Dabi wanted in the first place. More of a wide range of what Shigaraki likes.]

Video games and cartoons. I like those too. [And you.] We should get you some puzzles or some shit. Bet you'd be real good at those. Probably did a lot of them in the past, right?

[retrievearms]

I like traditional sweet things too.

[But yeah, they're slowly moving past food interests.]

I'm good at puzzles. I'm good at logical ones. Number puzzles and jigsaw puzzles are too easy often times. I did a lot of them in the past, yeah. [But this is so focused on him. What of Dabi?] What about you?

[creamation]

Traditional like daifuku and taiyaki or more like chocolates?

[Logical puzzles. That makes sense. He can see Shigaraki sitting there working on them for hours.]

Do you still do them, or do you only play video games now?

[Dabi lets out a soft hum, considering that question. What about him? What does he like?]

I haven't really thought about that in a long time. Never really got to do a lot of what I think I would've liked.

Daifuku and taiyaki. Chocolates are eh. [At least his sweet tooth isn't boring.]

Video games mostly. It's more interactive and challenging. You can only do so many logical puzzles before you figure out what to look for in an answer.

[He tilts his head.]

What would you have liked to do?

[creamation]

Agreed. Though I haven't had any of those in a long time.

[He moves back to his side and watches Shigaraki, reaching out with his other hand to take two strands into each and starts twisting them together. ]

There are probably more advanced logical puzzles now. We could probably get you some, as long as they don't make you...

[Anxious, he almost says, but he doesn't really want to call Shigaraki out like that.]

Eh. I'm sure you'd be fine.

I would've liked to play outside more. Maybe I would've kicked a ball around more. Played soccer or something. Or I could've played the drums. Something like that. I don't know.

[retrievearms]

Kurogiri can make daifuku. We can ask him to make it. [Kurogiri knows what Shigaraki likes so... mom will be able to please both kids.]

Don't make me what? [Say it you coward.] We can try but I was already doing advanced ones as a kid.

[Someone was an overachiever.]

You can still do that stuff. [Kinda. The drums thing? Definitely. Playing soccer as a villain? Not so much.]

Kurogiri can make daifuku? No shit. Now that's something I'd like to see.

[Dabi would likely rib and pester him the entire time, but then, Kurogiri is probably used to that by now anyway, he imagines.]

Nothing. I'm rethinking my words. Logic puzzles are probably good to clear the mind.

[Dabi knows Shigaraki is smart, even if he acts like a kid sometimes.]

I can still do that stuff? Yeah, not likely. Not exactly gonna kick a ball around or set up a drum set over here. Anyway, it's fine. I'm over it. I don't really like doing anything now. Except for you. I like doing you.

[retrievearms]

He makes a lot of things. [A pause.] He practically helped raise me.

[Kurogiri has seen some shit.]

A good walk clears the mind. Logic puzzles makes you use your mind.

[Doing you. Ha. He sees what Dabi did there.]

You like doing plenty of shit. [Doing Shigaraki. Annoying Shigaraki. Eating with Shigaraki. Etc.] Don't be so coy.

I didn't know he was with you for that long.

[He doesn't know a lot of things, actually. But he supposes he's trying to change that, asking Shigaraki things. Just the small things first, because he knows the bigger things will have bigger questions turned around to him as well and in the past he's always seen that as something to be used against him.

But they haven't really used things against each other. It's a strange thing.]

Well, clearly I've never done a fucking logic puzzle. That's why you're the boss.

[He would roll his eyes if he knew what Shigaraki was thinking. Yeah, all that stuff still involves doing the same thing.]

Why not? I do coy so well. I'm telling you, I don't really do anything on my own. Not that I can't, I just don't. Everything I do, I do with you.

Why do you think he gets away with teasing me more than you do?

[It's cause he has that dad status that can't be easily erased. But he rolls his eyes at the logic puzzle nonsense and finally moves to sit up.]

Please. You do plenty on your own. [Or well. He used to anyways.] Are we going to get up? I'm starving.

[creamation]

Does he really? I doubt that.

[Dabi smirks. He knows how much he gets away with teasing Shigaraki either way. At least they don't try to kill each other over it anymore.]

Yeah, sure. I make kindling. That's always a good time.

[He mutters, then yawns and stretches himself out, letting his shirt ride up half way, before just leaving his limbs spread out everywhere.]

I don't know if this is gonna work out, Shigs. You're such a morning person.

Well I don't try to kill him now, do I?

[There's still times where Shigaraki tries to kill Dabi. But it's entirely debatable as to whether or not he's actually trying to kill Dabi. Maybe it's for show or maybe it's just habit.]

Don't be smart, you know what I mean. [But ugh.] I don't sleep, remember? I'll get something light and lay back down with you if that's what you really want Dabi.

[creamation]

You don't try to kill me either, mophead.

[Not anymore, anyway. But even if Shigaraki does threaten it, Dabi knows there's not much weight behind it, same as when he threatens to do the same. But he knows that there's always a chance they could turn on each other for some reason or another. Nothing is set, especially not with people like them.

He sort of hopes they might get to the point where they know for certain that something like that wont happen, but... it's a hard thing to trust.]

Right, sure. You don't sleep. You just snore while you're awake.

[Dabi sighs and stretches some more, then sits up, rubbing at his eye with his middle finger.]

I'm up, I'm up.

[retrievearms]

I don't snore.

[He says with certainty before he suddenly becomes uncertain. Does he snore? Well. It doesn't really matter to him since it doesn't bother him. It's still unsightly to think about.]

If you need more time just say so, I don't mind. But I am fucking hungry.

[creamation]

How can you be so sure? Has anyone ever told you that you don't snore?

[He's completely teasing, of course. Shigaraki is quiet when he sleeps. Too quiet, sometimes. But at least he does sleep when Dabi is here.]

I need coffee and a cigarette first, but we can grab some food. My dreams made me hungry.

I- why would they tell me that?

[Better quiet than tossing and turning and waking up in a cold sweat.]

Can't you just smoke on the way there? [He's standing up now from the bed. He's gonna have to visit his room real quick to grab his clothes since they're in Dabi's room.] You can also just get a coffee when we get food.
