[ Dabi hadn't really intended for things to go this way. Not at all. It was his own itch he wanted to scratch and then somehow it turned into this concern (?) for Shigaraki, and something that could be good for the both of them. Maybe. He's still wary about all of it, even though he's falling in deep somehow.

Shigaraki is different from anyone he's ever known, and maybe that makes all the difference. ]

I can do my job no matter what, don't worry.

[But he's already settling in for sleep, his eyelids growing heavier. He's closer than the other night, because they're on one mattress now, but even closer than when they were in his room. He doesn't turn his back to Shigaraki, he just stays where he is. Close enough to touch, but Dabi is the only one doing the touching. Eventually he does let go though, if Shigaraki wants to take his hand back and he quickly falls asleep, unlike the night before. He has nothing on his mind this time.]

[Shigaraki doesn't pull away even when Dabi let's go of his hand. There's nothing to fear with these gloves and it's nice to have his hand out like this. It feels like he's reaching for Dabi- touching him even, without the touch or discomfort on Dabi's end.

Unlike last time, he actually manages to sleep through the night after wearing out his mind with idle thoughts of Dabi. He's got a working theory that makes sense based on everything he's observed with Dabi and somewhere in the night had decided it wasn't worth pursuing Dabi relentlessly about. It didn't mean he wouldn't drop the topic, however.

By morning, he wakes up and stares at Dabi's slumbering form. He wants to reach out and touch the other but decides against it. Staring is nice. He can use this time to take in the details of the other man. The way he slumbers, the way his hair falls over his face. Even the way he breathes is interesting.]

[Dabi doesn't wake up from nightmares this time. He sleeps all the way through, completely unaware of Shigaraki's staring for a long time.

He's never really slept deep like this, always having to be acutely aware of his surroundings, but it isn't that way this time. He sleeps until he stirs naturally, opening his eyes when he finally feels like he's being watched.

Shigaraki is staring at him, so he stares back.]

Morning.

[He says as if he hasn't been watching the other man for a while now. He doesn't move to get up or stand up. Just enjoys the early morning of peace.]

Sleep well?

Morning.

[Dabi has no idea how long Shigaraki's been staring at him, but it's not as unsettling as he thought it might be. He's not exactly fully alert first thing in the morning, so it's really fine if the other man wants to keep staring while he tries to wake up.

Shigaraki looks different. Less tired and irritated than he usually does. He has this look in his eyes that Dabi can't quite place, but he doesn't know if he wants to question it.]

Yeah, I really did. Didn't wake up a single time.

Yeah? That's good to hear. [He finally sits up from his mattress, throwing off the blanket to the side. He grunts, half from the effort and half from the fact that he has to wake up now. Being a villain isn't always what people hype it out to be.]

I'm surprised you stayed the night. [But entirely glad.]

Was I supposed to sneak out earlier?

[Dabi doesn't move aside from stretching a bit, scratching his stomach and getting more comfortable as he spreads out on the mattress, knocking his legs into Shigaraki's.]

Thought you'd be up and out of here like last time.

No. You're welcome to stay as long as you want.

[He gives Dabi a look when the other knocks his legs against him but doesn't push him away.]

I actually slept this time so I stayed.

You didn't sleep last time?

[Sleep issues. Must be a thing with them. He knocks his leg into Shigaraki's again.]

Do you have a lot of shit to do today?

No. I don't usually sleep. [Being a busy NEET with busy NEET things to do keeps you awake.] And I have nothing important today anyways.

[He moves one of his legs on top of Dabi's, testing the waters here.]

[Now he knows. Except Shigaraki did sleep tonight, apparently. He doesn't want to list that under the trend of helping each other out, because it can't possibly be that, right? He was just too exhausted to have nightmares and Shigaraki was tired from his daily bullshit.

Dabi hesitates, ready to shove Shigaraki's leg away, but he doesn't.]

Seems like a shame to let your boner go to waste.

[Not that Shigaraki currently has one, but he could, very soon.]

[He scoffs.] As if I would an erection this early in the morning.

[He doesn't move his leg off of Dabi's leg though. Seems like it got the other to stop shoving into him. In fact, he moves his other leg on top of Dabi's legs. The other didn't push him off the first time... another leg wouldn't hurt. Right?]

[He scoffs right back, then narrows his eyes a bit when Shigaraki's other leg moves on top of his. He knows Shigaraki is testing his limits here- both of theirs, actually. Dabi doesn't feel particularly trapped or boxed in.]

I don't. Don't sleep, remember?

[He's free to push Shigaraki off at anytime because Shigaraki isn't moving. Dabi's still warm to be around and mornings are always cold.]

Though it sounds like you've had your fair share of it.

You slept last night, asshole. I'm not gonna feel bad for your lack of sleep.

[Dabi is feeling too lazy to push Shigaraki off at this point. He's perfectly content at staying sprawled out against the mattress for a while longer. It's not like he's going to miss out on some brilliant villain recruit if he goes earlier in the day. They all like skulking around later anyway.]

[ Dabi rolls his eyes, because he knows this is laziness talking on Shigaraki's part as well. Whatever, then. Let him be lazy. It's not it makes a difference to Dabi what they do. ]

[He's not even really bored this time, he just... wants to do it, he supposes. Why not do something that'll keep them in bed longer?]

[Shigaraki looks at the other and considers moving his legs for a moment. Scratching lightly at the side of his neck as if to really ponder his options here. For a minute it looks like he's still not going to budge... and then-]

[ For a moment there, Shigaraki is thinking too long and hard about this blowjob and Dabi can't imagine why in the world the other man would turn him down. Dabi realizes he's probably just trying to give him shit.

And then... he narrows his eyes, pushing up on his elbows. ]

[He starts, wanting to remind Shigaraki that he only said ten minutes for the first time and fifteen for the rest, but why would he fuck himself over here? Again, he thought Shigaraki might try and take advantage of this touching deal they have a lot more than he is, because this is hardly anything at all. ]

[He never said it was always going to be a sexual kind of touch. Anything to get Dabi to open up a bit more and get him over this tendency. When the final minute passes, he slowly lifts his legs off Dabi.]

[Dabi's a little bit annoyed, though he can't really pinpoint why. Of course he thought it was always going to a sexual kind of touch, because that's all they have. That's all they've really done. Well. Sort of. He supposes they've done other things together now too.]

[But that's clearly not the case. Shigaraki giving a shit about him is on a whole new level. Dabi still doesn't get what's going on. They said this wouldn't change anything.]

[He moves quickly as he sits up and pushes Shigaraki back as he climbs on top of him, getting between his legs. It's too early for this shit, and Dabi's body drops down against the other man's more than he likes, but he's trying to prove a point here. Or something. Mostly it's still just that annoyed feeling, though. ]
