[ Shigaraki's actual smile is not as creepy as Dabi thought it would be, but he's not thinking about that right now. He's looking back at the screen, trying to decide if he should switch characters as well. He opts for no, because he's finally gotten the hang of this one. He wants to work with what he's got and focus on the new moves of Shigaraki's character.

And then, in true fashion of their... whatever this is, Shigaraki offers him a reward and Dabi can't say he's all too opposed to the idea. He wants to ask what, but it's true, there's no time.

He puts his all into the round, concentrating like he's never concentrated before, but he loses the first try. ]

Fuck. I take it back. I liked the girl with the ugly pants better.

[retrievearms]

She's just my warm up character, Dabi.

[If ever such a thing was true. The second try... Dabi's able to chip away at his health once and then Shigaraki doesn't relent. Shigaraki wins the second round pretty easily. It's clear that he's using different tactics with this second character.]

You got one more chance, Dabi.

Yeah, well... fuck.

[When he loses again the second time, he makes a decision to switch his character out and go with the one Shigaraki was playing before. The thing is, as much as he was learning the combinations for his character, he was paying closer attention to what Shigaraki's character was doing so he could bring her down. That's how he operates in real life, too. Observing others is top priority.]

Alright, now it's on.

[He even shifts a little closer to the TV. He wants his goddamn reward.]

[retrievearms]

You sure? It's your last chance.

[Well, there's no backing out now. Shigaraki starts up the next round, curious to see how Dabi handles the character he was playing before. It's a new set of combos to learn right on the spot... even if the other observed his character for a good while- he still has to take down this newer one.]

Show me what you can do, Dabi.

[creamation]

I'm sure.

[He's got the combos down pretty well from Shigaraki, and he's had two rounds to watch Shigaraki's new character. There are some moves that he's noticed the other man make a habit of using together after a certain hit, and that's when he attacks.

He finds the combos easier with this character and soon he's watching the health bar go down on Shigaraki's. He's not grinning yet, though. He isn't so overly confident to think that he's won. But then there's one last combo that he knows will give him an extra push- Shigaraki used it on him several times and he knocks the other guy out, letting out a sound of victory, his arms going up again.

He's clearly enjoying his win very much. If anyone else is around, they're probably wondering just what in the hell is going on in Shigaraki's room. Dabi probably hasn't shown this much emotion in ages.]

[retrievearms]

[Shigaraki stares at the screen, baffled that he was overtaken so easily. He's not mad though. Just in awe at how easily the other villain could memorize the combos and go up against him. But it should be expected of Dabi. He's lazy but if there's something he wants... he actually gives it his all and that's something Shigaraki can appreciate.]

Not bad. You're almost a pro now.

[He sounds really amused if anything.]

Not bad? I crushed you.

[So that's a little over the top, but look, he's proud of himself and he did good. Shigaraki's initial baffled look makes him feel even better. People shouldn't underestimate him so easily. He really does get shit done when he puts his mind to it.

Not that Shigaraki underestimates him. He knows better than that by now.]

So what's my reward?

[He asks, completely forgetting that just the other day he scoffed at such a thing, telling Shigaraki he wasn't a damn dog. But look at him now, turning to the other man, raising his eyebrows as he waits.]

[retrievearms]

Hmmm. I'll have to think.

[Admittedly? He didn't think Dabi could pull off a win in three turns. It was just a bet to get the other man excited and seriously thinking about the game. Dabi proved him wrong.]

Something good for beating a pro like me.

[But what could Dabi possibly want? He wonders.]

[creamation]

[ Dabi can do practically anything with the proper motivation. He got Shigaraki the perfect gloves, that should have been his first clue. And hey, he likes getting things. Especially from Shigaraki, it seems. ]

How about access to your unfairly private bathroom for the rest of the week so I don't have to shower with those other assholes in the main bathroom. They stink.

[retrievearms]

[He squints at Dabi's request. It's only for the rest of the week so... it shouldn't be too hard of a reward to fulfill, right?]

Fine. Just don't make a mess of it.

[creamation]

[ Dabi scoffs, but he also looks fully satisfied that Shigaraki agreed to his reward so easily. He figured maybe he'd have to argue that one a little more. ]

Your room is messier than mine, asshole. You've got shit all over the place. It's like no one ever taught you to pick up after yourself and you just get distracted and move on to the next thing.

[retrievearms]

Excuse me if I didn't have the time to unpack everything like the rest of you did.

[Cause he really hasn't had time to just unwind and decorate the new place or organize shit from what was salvaged after the raid.]

It isn't that messy.

[creamation]

I didn't unpack shit. I just don't have any stuff.

[What stuff could he possibly need, anyway? He has a bed, a couch, a TV and now he has a photo to hide under his mattress.]

It's messy enough where you can't really say shit about any kind of mess I'd make. Which I don't, because I know how to live.

[He tosses his controller into Shigaraki's lap.]

Guess I'm still buying food tomorrow, though. You mostly kicked my ass.

[retrievearms]

[He turns off the system again, sliding the controllers towards the TV. Hmm. Maybe he really was turning his room into a mess. Oh well. It doesn't matter to him as long as he can find everything he's looking for.]

You gave it your best shot. [a beat.] You'll get better and then we'll be neck to neck like racing.

[creamation]

[ Doesn't really matter to Dabi either, as long as Shigaraki isn't getting lost in his mess. It's not like he's a stickler for cleanliness. Anyway, he's been spending more time here than in his room lately. Still weird.]

I won the most important round so that's what counts.

[He moves to get up, grabbing his jacket and his shoes. They're about winding down here, he thinks and he doesn't want to make things weirder, or assume he's staying here, or whatever. ]

Got anything for me to do tomorrow, or am I just spending the day trying not to burn down potential recruits?

[retrievearms]

Recruitment. That's really all we can do right now while we're staying low.

[He watches as Dabi grabs his jacket and shoes but doesn't stop him. Instead offering;]

You're welcome to stay here too, of course.

[creamation]

Most of them are useless. It's going to be a long process.

[which is fine, because he'd rather not just bring any wannabe villains into their circle. It could lead to even worse things.

He side eyes Shigaraki at his offer to stay.
It's not weird if his boss asks him to stay, right? Its fine. ]

I guess it would make it easier for me to shower in the morning. Have to go grab some stuff, though.

[retrievearms]

It's always tedious when it comes to recruiting. I trust both yours and Twice's judgement. [And then a brief pause;] I'll be here.

[He's probably going to be playing another kind of game by the time Dabi gets back picking up whatever it is he needs. He's got his mattress out and is sprawled out on it as he plays the game on a high difficulty setting.]

Good, because a few of them failed to pass today.

[Shigaraki never did ask how his day went, but he might as well give him a little detail. Not that it matters, they're all dead.

He goes back to his room and considers just staying there now that he's removed himself from Shigaraki's room. He hates the guy.
Why the hell is he spending so much time with him? Fucking, getting food, playing games. Ugh.

Before he can think any harder about it, he tucks the photo away among his things and grabs a change of clothes so he can shower in peace, then heads back over to Shigaraki's room. He's not surprised when the other is deep into another game. ]

Gonna shower now.

[retrievearms]

Mmhmm. [Is Shigaraki's reply, he barely looks up from the screen when Dabi returns. He's relaxed, and focused in something that could be considered enjoyable for the leader. It's rare to see him like this.]

Towels are in the cabinet, you'll know which one.

[Cause it's the only one in the bathroom. It might be a private bath and shower but it's not exactly luxurious or extravagant. The only luxury it affords is some privacy for Shigaraki, and Dabi for the rest of the week it seems.]

[Shigaraki looks far more relaxed than even Dabi has seen him, sprawled out on his mattress, playing games. He seems even more like a child now and Dabi shakes his head, going into the bathroom.

He doesn't need luxury. He grew up with a sense of it and it makes him sick. The privacy is really all he needs and he has to admit, this is a damn good reward.

He grabs a towel and drops all his stuff down so he can shower. It's a long one, because he can, and he doesn't have to worry about any shitheads bursting in on him. When he's done, he dries off and puts on a worn black T-shirt with matching worn out black sweats, then heads back out and flops down on the mattress to watch Shigaraki play his game.]

[retrievearms]

Took you long enough. Thought you might have drowned in there.

[He's trying to win against this boss fight and it's... not going well at all. Dodging more than he's able to hit at the boss and the longer the fight drags on the more desperate his character moves around until, finally, he's able to overcome the boss.]

That's enough of that.

[He can handle losing to Dabi in a fighting game, he apparently can't handle almost losing to an NPC boss.]

Give me a break, I was enjoying myself.

[just for that, Shigaraki gets a flick to the ear in hopes that it might throw his game off a little.

He watches the rest of it anyway, picking up any tips or tricks that might be useful to kick Shigaraki's ass later on.

He smirks when he starts to see the annoyance on the other man's face when he starts getting desperate and beating.]

Wow he's really dragging you down. I can see the creases in your forehead.

[Dabi taunts, flicking at Shigaraki some more. At least the other man isn't scratching nervously. In fact, he's pretty sure it's been a few hours since that's happened.]

Ow. Stop that.

[He tries to shield his ear into his shoulder to avoid getting flicked more. Dammit Dabi you're throwing him off his groove! Finally he manages to make it to a save point.]

That was only the second time I've fought that boss, of course he was dragging me down.

Lmaooo that's so great XD Dabi is loving it.

Sure it was.

[Dabi says as if he absolutely doesn't believe him, just because he knows it'll irritate him. He does still like to irritate Shigaraki after all.

That, and as interesting as it is to watch the other man play for a little while, if he's gonna stay, he wants attention.]

Are you done now?
